If this trend holds above the 40% threshold, Laura Fernández of the Pueblo Soberano Party (PPSO) would secure the presidency in the first round, avoiding a runoff in April. Fernández, who served as Minister of the Presidency, has campaigned on a platform of continuity for the current administration’s policies.

Álvaro Ramos (National Liberation Party – PLN) currently holds the second position, capturing a notable but fragmented portion of the opposition vote.

People of Costa Rica Note: We will continue to update this information as the TSE releases further official reports. Final results will be confirmed in the coming days after the manual vote count.
