From July 19 to 27, 2025, the Costa Rica Convention Center will host the 23rd edition of the Feria Internacional del Libro de Costa Rica (FILCR), organized by the Costa Rican Book Chamber. Admission is free, and the fair has become one of the region’s leading cultural showcases .
Cultural and Educational Endorsements
FILCR 2025 has been granted the Cultural Interest Declaration by the Ministry of Culture and Youth and the Educational Interest Declaration by the Ministry of Public Education (MEP), official recognitions that underscore its heritage, creative, and educational value for the country .
International Guests of DistinctionThis year’s lineup includes renowned authors from Europe, North America, and Central America, among them:
- Irene Vallejo (Spain), author of The Infinite in a Reed, translated into more than 20 languages.
- Juan David Morgan (Panama), historical novelist exploring Central American identity.
- Éric Chacour (Canada), whose novel What I Know of You has been translated into 15 languages and awarded in France and Canada.
- Adolfo D. Roitman (Argentina–Israel), director of the Shalem Institute in Mexico and scholar of ancient biblical literature .
Note: Due to health reasons, Santiago Posteguillo will not attend this year, but the program remains stellar.
