Costa Rican band Madame Whiskey announces the release of their new single “Holding Ground”, a direct and energetic song that addresses the idea of standing firm even in the most absurd and complicated situations. “It’s a very direct and organic song, the message is quite clear… many times even when things are against us and are not fair, we have to keep going — it’s the only way,” explained Luis Barahona, the band’s vocalist.

The single was recorded at Long Beach Records LATAM studios, produced by Mauricio Mora with Rodrigo Castro handling recording and editing. The mix was once again entrusted to British engineer Aubrey Whitfield, who has collaborated with international artists as well as with the San Carlos band on previous releases.

“Holding Ground” marks the third joint release between Madame Whiskey and Long Beach Records LATAM, a partnership that continues to grow stronger alongside the band’s plans to present this new material at a series of concerts in Costa Rica and, in coordination with Storm Blaze Entertainment, in Colombia. “It’s always exciting to release new material and connect with audiences through new work… plus it’s a great excuse to travel, discover new places, and perform again in venues that have given us great experiences,” said Simón Zúñiga, a member of the band.

The release comes after a period of high activity for Madame Whiskey, marked by the promotion of the single “Alex, I Told You So” and a packed concert schedule that included their participation in the Santos Rock festival and the “Parchando Un Whiskey 2025” tour through Colombia.
