Teatro al Mediodía: Mimayato with String Orchestra and Percussion

Mimayato — a duo of Electric Bass and Double Bass (Abel Guier and Alberto Moreno) — is pleased to present their book “Scores for Bass and Double Bass with String Quintet.”
A score is a document, music on paper, but it is the performer who channels and conveys these emotions for the enjoyment of others. This project aims to bring violinists, violists, cellists, and of course, double bassists and bass players closer to their work.

The piece, titled “The Diary of Dr. Chapuí,” through its main character, seeks to transport the audience on an existential journey toward freedom, while also questioning the worldly bonds of consumption and modern life.
