GuitarrísTico will bring free concerts to several communities

The 18th International Costa Rica Guitar Gathering, GuitarrísTico, will take place from October 17 to 24, 2026, in communities and institutions across Sarapiquí, Heredia, Cartago, and San José. The free program includes concerts, recitals, talks, and masterclasses open to people of all ages.

The event will bring together national and international artists from Costa Rica, Mexico, the United States, and Nicaragua. Highlights include the celebration of World Guitar Day at the La Selva Research Station, the opening ceremony at the Municipal Amphitheater of Cartago, and several concerts at the Centro de la Cultura Cartaginesa in Cartago.

This year’s edition will be dedicated to Asociación Cultural AMUBIS and Colegio Universitario de Cartago, institutions celebrating 50 years of social, artistic, cultural, and educational work. The closing event will take place on Saturday, October 24, at Terramall, with an afternoon of guitar performances featuring several guest musicians.
