The Environmental Festival 2026 will take place on June 6 in Montes de Oca as part of the celebrations for World Environment Day. The Municipality of Montes de Oca, in collaboration with the Tropical Science Center, is organizing a free event for the entire family, featuring activities such as workshops, art exhibitions, recycling initiatives, waste collection campaigns, yoga sessions, theater performances, and live music.
The festival will be held at John F. Kennedy Park and the Montes de Oca Cultural Center from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Its objective is to encourage the community to learn practical ways to care for the canton and its public spaces.
The event seeks to combine environmental education with community engagement, reinforcing local commitment to sustainability while promoting the enjoyment and preservation of urban green spaces.
