Grant fund call closes July 18, 2025
- “Puntos de Cultura” Fund: Directed at organizations and collectives, offering up to ₡8 million colones per project
- “Becas Taller” Fund: Targeted at individuals, with up to ₡5 million colones available per project
- Technical Support Service: Provides guidance and assistance to help community cultural organizations achieve their goals
The Ministry of Culture and Youth, through the Department of Sociocultural Management (DGS), announces that the application period for the competitive funds — “Puntos de Cultura,” “Becas Taller,” and the Technical Support Service — will close on Friday, July 18, 2025.
These supports are designed for projects that promote community well-being, the exercise of cultural rights, and citizen participation. Applications may be submitted by organizations with or without a legal entity, or directly by individual applicants.
Details of Each Fund
Puntos de Cultura
This fund finances projects proposed by sociocultural collectives or organizations — with or without legal registration — that have more than three years of experience in sociocultural management.
Up to ₡8,000,000 colones is awarded per selected project.
Becas Taller

This fund is exclusively for individuals: community cultural managers whose projects are linked to artistic expressions or the preservation of cultural heritage.
Up to ₡5,000,000 colones is granted to selected projects.
Eligible “Becas Taller” projects must fall into one of the following categories:
- Artistic and/or sociocultural learning activities
- Community artistic and/or sociocultural productions
- Community sociocultural communication products
- Sociocultural research

Technical Support Service (SAT)

This service also has an open call and provides support in the following areas: diagnostics, evaluations, workshop design, and event planning — all geared towards sociocultural organizations across the country.
Categories of services available:
- Sociocultural management exchanges and meetings
- Organizational diagnosis and/or work plan
- Support in participatory planning and/or evaluation of cultural initiatives
- Sociocultural workshops

Please note: The SAT does not involve direct fund transfers. Instead, it consists of a collaborative process developed through periodic sessions over several months. During this time, DGS staff support the organizations in fulfilling their goals and objectives based on specific needs.
