The National Tapa de Dulce Fair 2026 is a cultural and gastronomic event designed to preserve and promote the traditions of Escazú and Costa Rica surrounding tapa de dulce. Throughout the weekend, families will be able to enjoy the exhibition and sale of tapa de dulce, traditional foods, handicrafts, and artistic performances taking place during the day.

The program includes traditional cimarrona bands and mascaradas parades, folk dance performances, marimba concerts, a traditional “trapiche bingo,” dance concerts, and children’s activities such as face painting and art spaces. Visitors will also have the opportunity to take ox-cart tours to the trapiche (sugar mill) and enjoy ox-cart rides around the square, reinforcing the traditional atmosphere that characterizes the canton of Escazú.
