Painting a Garden for the Soul is an exhibition that proposes a positive and transformative visual space, where each image acts as a seed of inner well-being. More than a series of paintings, the exhibition presents itself as a poetic and deeply human experience: an emotional garden where calm, contemplation, and light flourish, transcending age, gender, culture, or beliefs. A garden for the soul that each visitor will be able to carry with them.

The exhibition brings together 20 figurative oil paintings that engage in dialogue with one another to tell the story of a girl who creates a “portal” through a wall — a symbol of the obstacles that arise in life — inviting the viewer to embark on an emotional and visual journey through an imaginary garden. In this space dwell flowers, plants, birds, butterflies, and other insects, essential elements that evoke harmony, fragility, and the beauty of nature as an expression of creative power.

Artist Carolina Ortiz has developed a distinguished career in oil painting. She is the creator of the website pintar-al-oleo.com, active since 2012, which has become a reference source for art enthusiasts and professionals interested in deepening their knowledge of oil painting.

The exhibition will be available from February 7 to May 3 at the Juan Santamaría Historical Cultural Museum.
