Rossini’s effervescent comedy returns to the stage in Bartlett Sher’s madcap production.

Mezzo-soprano Aigul Akhmetshina leads a winning cast as the spirited heroine Rosina, alongside tenor Jack Swanson, making his Met debut as her secret love, Count Almaviva. Baritone Andrey Zhilikhovsky takes on the role of Figaro, the title barber of Seville, with bass-baritone Peter Kálmán as Dr. Bartolo and bass Alexander Vinogradov as Don Basilio completing the principal cast. Giacomo Sagripanti conducts.
