The “Cartago: City of Christmas” festival will take place on Saturday, November 28, 2026. For the first time in its six-year history, it will be broadcast nationwide on Teletica, Channel 7, and its digital platforms.
The event officially kicks off the Christmas season with a parade featuring themed floats, school marching bands, folk groups, and artistic performances.
Although the event has been lighting up the streets of Cartago for six years, this edition will allow people across Costa Rica — and even abroad — to enjoy the celebration from home. Mayor Mario Redondo highlighted that the broadcast aims to bring the festivities to those who are unable to attend in person.
