Turrialba Tourism Festival 2026: A Journey Through Six Communities

Turrialba will host its 2026 Tourism Festival from September 25 to 27, with activities spread across six communities — Colonias de Guayabo, Calle Vargas, Mollejones, Sitio Mata, Tuis, and Aquiares — showcasing the area’s natural, cultural, historical, and gastronomic wealth while strengthening local tourism. The event is open to the public.

• Decentralized format: Unlike a festival held in a single location, activities will take place across several communities, each showcasing its customs, landscapes, local products, and traditions.
• Participants: Local businesses, accommodations, restaurants, and tour guides will take part, with a particular focus on traditional cuisine and recipes passed down through generations.
• Institutional support: The festival is supported by the Costa Rican Tourism Institute (ICT) to promote domestic tourism and boost local economies.
