International “Art for Peace” Exhibition Comes to Costa Rica for the First Time

The Museo Histórico Cultural Juan Santamaría and the Fundación Transformación en Tiempos Violentos invite the public to the opening of the International “Art for Peace” Exhibition on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. The traveling exhibition brings together works by more than 100 artists from 30 countries and will be open to the public from September 2026 through January 2027.

The exhibition seeks to convey a message of hope, optimism, positivity, peace and change — values that have taken on particular significance in today’s world. This is the first time Costa Rica is hosting the exhibition, highlighting the country’s decision to abolish its army 77 years ago and its commitment to peace as a model to share with the participating nations.
