Playa Hermosa to Host a World Surf League Event This August

Costa Rica will host the World Surf League (WSL) QS2000 Tour at Playa Hermosa, in the canton of Garabito, from August 13 to 16. The competition will bring together high-level surfers from around the world and further position the country on the international stage as a premier destination for surfing, sports tourism, and sustainable travel.

Event organizers also emphasized the positive economic and social impact the competition is expected to generate for local coastal communities, benefiting businesses, tourism services, and the region’s overall development.
