About the Performance:
Acclaimed Galician musician Carlos Núñez presents Celtic Beethoven, a unique concert that explores a lesser-known side of Ludwig van Beethoven’s musical legacy.

Joined by Costa Rican musicians, Núñez revives a selection of the more than two hundred arrangements Beethoven created based on traditional Irish, Scottish, and Welsh melodies. The program highlights the fascinating connection between European classical music and Celtic folk traditions, revealing how popular melodies inspired one of history’s greatest composers.

Through the sounds of bagpipes, recorders, and traditional instruments, the concert offers a journey through the rich cultural heritage of the Celtic world while celebrating Beethoven’s remarkable ability to transform folk music into timeless art.
