“Chromographies of the Imaginary” Exhibition: Art, Music & Poetry in Barrio Escalante

The Chromographies of the Imaginary exhibition will open on May 14, 2026 at the Casa de la Cultura Banco Popular in Barrio Escalante (San José). The show features a multidisciplinary presentation by Costa Rican artist Johan Obando, whose drawings explore imaginary realms inspired by nature, fantasy, and emotional sensitivity. Alongside the visual works, the event will include musical performances by lyric soprano Sofía de la Cruz and poetry sessions led by Roberto André Acuña, who also curated the exhibition. Free and open to the public through May 28, the activity aims to create a meeting space for diverse artistic expressions and encourage cultural exchange.
