The National Ballet of Costa Rica will present at the National Theatre a major classical ballet production of Sleeping Beauty, featuring nearly 50 dancers on stage, including the official cast and participants selected through auditions. The work, directed by Annia Rosales Surená, tells the story of Princess Aurora, marked by the curse of a resentful fairy, and seeks to bring the language of ballet closer to Costa Rican families. It will feature the leading participation of dancer Samantha Chuckharev, along with guest artists from companies in Mexico and the United States, who have prepared intensively for several months due to the technical demands of the piece. Performances will take place on June 6 and 7 at different times, and tickets are available through the Ticketshow platform.
