Paseo de los Estudiantes will serve as the venue for the “Art and Flavor” fair this Saturday and Sunday, an activity aimed at boosting pedestrian traffic and commerce in this area of the capital. The event will integrate a combined offering of gastronomy, art exhibitions, and musical performances in open spaces.
The initiative, coordinated between the commercial sector and municipal authorities, will allow boulevard establishments to expand their service areas, offering menus ranging from traditional Costa Rican cuisine to international proposals. The main objective is to encourage local consumption and attract visitors to downtown San José through the recreational use of public space.
In the cultural segment, the program includes live music performances by national artists from various genres, visual arts exhibitions, and a handicrafts fair where local producers will showcase their creations. All of these activities will take place continuously throughout the weekend, integrating the musical lineup with the exhibition areas so that visitors encounter cultural offerings along the entire route.
For the development of the festival, a reinforced security and cleaning operation has been arranged in the surroundings of Paseo de los Estudiantes. Organizers confirmed that the event is free of charge and designed to welcome audiences of all ages, maintaining a focus on community coexistence and the strengthening of San José’s urban identity.
