Walk Through Heredia: History, Health, and Community in Santa Bárbara

EThis Saturday, June 21, history lovers, nature enthusiasts, and active lifestyle seekers are invited to Santa Bárbara de Heredia for a new edition of the Walk Through Heredia, organized by the Fundación Caminantes de Costa Rica.

A meaningful way to connect with the surroundings

The walk begins at 8:00 a.m. from the central park of Santa Bárbara and covers approximately 4 kilometers at a relaxed pace. Along the route, participants will hear stories about local architecture, notable historical figures, and cultural curiosities that often go unnoticed.

Accessible, educational, and safe

The event is open to people of all ages, including children and older adults. A team consisting of a certified guide, doctor, nurse, and paramedic will accompany the group. Basic health checks, such as blood pressure and heart rate, will be conducted before the walk begins.

What to bring

  • Comfortable clothing and walking shoes
  • Water and a light snack
  • Rain gear (poncho or umbrella)
  • Curiosity and interest in discovering Heredia from a new perspective

Registration and contribution
