For a short while, this homeless man was a very recurrent face in San José. He was always with his dog and cat. He used to ask for money and let people pet both.
Both animals show a great degree of affection for the man.
I remember two social media campaigns about him. One was when the animals were removed by CENASA. He was able to prove that he could care for them and they were in good health. Managing to have them back.
And the other during the new year celebrations. When his dog got scared by the fireworks and run away. He appeared in a video crying desperately and asking people for help. Looking for his dog.
People eventually find the dog and reunited them.
I haven’t seen him in years.
