Celebrating Costa Rican Poetry | National Library

The Ministry of Culture and Youth, through the National Library System, invites you to celebrate National Poetry Day in our country.

This celebration has been commemorated every January 31st since April 1996 by Executive Decree No. 25134-C. This date was chosen in honor of the birth of one of our great poets, Jorge Debravo.

This is a collaborative activity of the Benemérita National Library (SINABI). The event will be held both in person and virtually via the National Library’s Facebook page.
