Megafamily Sunday in Cartago: A Day of Fun for Everyone

This May 25, the Municipality of Cartago invites the community to participate in a new edition of Megafamily Sunday, an event designed for families to enjoy a day full of recreational, cultural, and sports activities.

A Space of Entertainment for All

From 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., the Plaza Mayor of Cartago will transform into a vibrant stage with a variety of experiences for all ages. Attendees will be able to enjoy activities such as:

  • Canopy and inflatable games for the more adventurous.
  • Theater and dance performances for art lovers.
  • Zumba and exercise classes for those looking to stay active.
  • A special zone for pets, because four-legged friends are also welcome.
  • Concerts and live shows with national artists.
  • Photobooth and traditional games to capture unforgettable memories.
  • Recycling area and mini bowling to promote environmental awareness.

In addition, historic sites such as the Ruins of the Parish of Santiago Apóstol, the Municipal Museum, and the Cartago Cultural Center will open their doors to complement the experience with a cultural focus.

The Family Sundays in Cartago program has been a key initiative for the city, promoting community unity and access to free entertainment. This event is part of the second edition, which will run until November 2025, with activities every Sunday.

Road Closures and Safety

To ensure the safety of attendees, the section between Plaza de la Independencia and Plaza Mayor will be completely closed to traffic during the event. Visitors are encouraged to use alternative means of transportation to facilitate access.
